Groucho Marx and Generic Movie Titles

Given our discussion on generic terms yesterday, here is a link to a famous letter from Groucho Marx to Warner Brothers, who were trying to stop the Marx brothers using the movie title "A Night in Casablanca'.

As Lennon said "I'm a Marxist of the Groucho variety"

I've always suspected Groucho Marx was awesome this letter give me further evidence that it is true. I loved how it turned it around on them in the end... Brilliant.

Choice line out of the letter.

"Well, he won't get away with it! We'll fight him to the highest court! No pasty-faced legal adventurer is going to cause bad blood between the Warners and the Marxes."

Still not as good as my fave Grouch quote:
"Outside of a Dog a book is mans best friend. Inside a dog it's too dark to read".

PS: More stuff comming on my blog about gender roles. Will be good trust me!
